Titanium Surface Treatment Processes

Titanium Surface Treatment Processes

The reason titanium cups have shaken off their "bureaucratic" aesthetic to become trendy and stylish comes down to a wide variety of surface treatment processes.

Basic Texturing Processes

1.Sandblasting: High-pressure spraying of fine particles creates a delicate matte texture, a commonly used process for outdoor products.

2. Brushed finish: Creating fine, detailed linear textures on the surface, presenting a sophisticated minimalist industrial style.

3. Polishing: Ranging from rough polishing to mirror polishing, multiple processes can make the surface of a titanium cup as bright as a mirror, maximizing its texture.

Characteristic Coloring and Texturing

1.Anodizing: This is the core coloring process. Through electrolysis, an oxide film is generated on the surface of the titanium cup, capable of displaying dazzling, vibrant colors. This film is also extremely stable and corrosion-resistant.

2. Crystal/Ice Flower process: Letting the titanium surface crystallize naturally at high temperatures to form unique ice-crack or snowflake-like patterns. Divided into large and small ice flowers, it offers a strong three-dimensional feel.

3. Laser Color Titanium: Building on textures like ice flowers, laser precision is used to "tattoo" various patterns onto the surface, achieving a seamless combination of color and texture.

High-End Customization Processes

1.PVD Vacuum Plating: Plating in a vacuum environment allows the cup to exhibit sophisticated colors such as gold and black, while being exceptionally wear-resistant.

2. 3D UV Stamping / Embossing: A relatively new process that can create three-dimensional relief effects on the cup body, offering a high-end feel that resists scratching.

3. Hand-painted Titanium / Lacquerware craft: Hand-drawn by artisans or combined with intangible cultural heritage lacquer techniques, making every single piece a unique work of art.
